The first time we hosted in our new house, it was a disaster. We were still in the awkward phase of settling into the new place after a cross-state move, where the boxes were unpacked but the walls were still blank and the furniture arrangement still under consideration. But a couple had just moved into the area even more recently, and we wanted to put out the welcome mat.
