Could Congress Scuttle Trump’s Iran Deal?

The president’s promise to subject his Iran deal to congressional review is very much in doubt.

On Tuesday, President Donald Trump had still not shared the text of his Iran deal with members of Congress—neither Senate Majority Leader John Thune nor close Trump ally Tom Cotton, the Senate intelligence committee chairman, had seen it. But Trump nevertheless said he would submit the deal for legislative approval.
