Amanda Owen, also known as the Yorkshire Shepherdess, has taken to social media to respond to internet users who've raised concerns about her appearance.

Questions arose when the mum-of-nine, 51, was accompanied by her 17-year-old daughter Edith for a rare public appearance at the Tric Awards in London on Tuesday afternoon.

Ms Owen opted for a black and white polka dot dress, accessorised with a distinctive lace-effect necklace.

Her teenage daughter complemented the look with a pale pink dress and sunglasses suited to the warm conditions.

The duo looked worlds away from the mud and muck of Ravenseat, where Ms Owen runs her farm alongside ex-husband, Clive.

However, after posing for photos on the awards' red carpet, those watching the star-studded event from home had questions.

And now, Ms Owen has answers. The 51-year-old took to Instagram to highlight one person's uncalled-for critique of her appearance at the Tric Awards.

Alongside a Daily Mail article which reported on her appearance at the do, Ms Owen shared one of the comments a reader had in response.

The comment read: "She sure didn't used to look that way. When she was a 'model', she was extremely plain, and her looks have drastically improved of late.

"I can't tell what work she's had done but it's very good whatever it is."

Ms Owen had the perfect response to the internet user. She included a series of snaps of her hard at work at Ravenseat.

"Work done?" she began, before sharing snaps of her rearing lambs, shearing sheep, and lugging wood across the farm.

"Done work!" she penned on the photos, as well as "logging on for real" on the pictures of her carrying wood.

"Stripped bare," she captioned another photo, this time of her getting grips with a ram as she sheared its coat.

"Strong," Ms Owen penned alongside another snap of her helping birth a calf on the farm.

She signed off with the two-word response: "Work done?"

Inevitably, it didn't take long for Ms Owen's followers to rally behind the farmer for dismissing the internet user's remarks in such style.

"Girl power. You both look amazing xoxo," one fan commented on Instagram, while a second weighed in: "I admire you hugely - and so do loads of people."

Elsewhere, a third encouraged: "Ignore the jealous, bored with their lives haters. Love the photos of you and your girl all glammed up, knowing the next day, you’ll be up to your elbows in s**t. Keep sharing x."

And a fourth similarly praised: "@Yorkshireshepherdess is a remarkable woman. Can't say much more than that. Any naysayers can clear off xx." (sic)

Ms Owen's Our Farm Next Door wasn't up for any awards on Tuesday evening, but the ceremony did see several big names crowned, including Nick Ferrari, LadBaby, Adolescence, Clarkson's Farm, and Staying Relevant.

And it was also a successful evening for GB News, with Ellie Costello, Anne Diamond, Alex Armstrong, and other members of the team taking to the stage to accept the award for Best News Programme on behalf of GB News Breakfast.

Speaking on the following day's Breakfast, Ellie said: "We are absolutely delighted that you chose us because it was voted for by you, the Great British public.

"That's why it means the world to us. Because it comes from you. So thank you."

Alex echoed: "It's all thanks to all of you at home for voting for us, because it is a public vote. I think that also says something about our channel, doesn't it?”

“I just think it's a testament to GB News,” Ellie agreed. “We take our shows all across the country, don't we? We have live audience shows where we get to meet all of you guys.

“We have GB News.com and the USA. We're always in contact with you, always in communication.

“We always know what you have, what you think about our programs, what you think about the stories that we're covering.”
