Bank closures: Lloyds and Halifax announce further closures as more than 250 branches to shut for good

The banking group is set to dramatically reduce its high street presence

A further set of branch closures has been announced by Lloyds Banking Group on top of the 254 branches shutting for good this year.

Two more branches are set to close including one Halifax branch and one Lloyds location.

Lloyds will close down its branch on Bromford Lane, Hodge Hill, Birmingham, at some point over the coming months, with no concrete date confirmed.

Meanwhile, Halifax will close its site in Cornhill, Lincoln, on May 14.
