The total prize value of unclaimed Premium Bonds prizes is more than £83million, GB News can reveal
Millions of Premium Bonds savers are missing out on prizes worth a total of £83,367,525 as of this month, NS&I has told GB News.
Among them are six people who have won £100,000 each but are yet to claim the payout.
Government-backed savings provider NS&I contacts the winners when they scoop a prize, but sometimes it's not possible to reach them.
For instance, it may be the winner has moved and not told NS&I, they've changed some personal details or the letter "went astray in the post", NS&I said.
NS&I will hold onto unclaimed prizes, and there's no time limit to make a claim, although savers may well want to check so they can enjoy any prizes they've won.
What are the oldest Premium Bonds prizes currently unclaimed?
The £25 prize winner, who won in November 1957, is from South Yorkshire.
NS&I doesn't have location details for the other winners in the list above.
