A "huge explosion" was heard in a retail park in Bradford over the weekend, leaving one person in hospital.
Emergency services rushed to the scene following reports of a powerful explosion at around 10am on Sunday morning.
Around 15 minutes later, multiple police, fire and ambulance crews arrived at Costa, located on Stanley Road.
West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service found the car's sides crumpled and glass shattered around it.
Crews conducted searches under the bonnet and around the engine, in the boot and the back of the car.
"I was sat having my morning coffee when I heard this huge explosion," they told local paper The Telegraph and Argus.
"I presumed it was a crash, but when I looked, there was nothing obvious until a fire engine parked up in the Costa car park and the crew began inspecting a car.
"It looked like the occupants were alright, thankfully, but seemed in shock and were checked over by the ambulance team."
The noise was heard in two areas of the city: Bolton Woods and Frizinghall.
Photographs captured at the scene revealed the substantial scale of the response, with a fire engine, a pair of ambulance vehicles, and three police cars in attendance.
Fire engines left the scene at around 10.50am, while police and ambulances followed shortly after.
A spokesman for Yorkshire Ambulance Service confirmed it received a call at 10.08am and dispatched one ambulance.
