Durar Drive and Ardshiel Avenue remain closed as officers deal with the incident
An Edinburgh street has been locked down by police after a man was allegedly attacked with a crossbow.
Officers from Police Scotland were called to Durar Drive and Ardshiel Avenue in Clermiston following reports of an incident.
Emergency services attended the scene at around 8am this morning.
One local resident told EdinburghLive: "I heard a guy got battered with a metal pole. There's blood all over the street.
"Six police cars are at the street, and it's all taped off. It's a bit worrying to see something like this first thing in the morning, to say the least."
A spokesman from Police Scotland told GB News: "Around 8am on Thursday, June 25 2026, we were called to a report of a serious assault on Ardshiel Avenue in Edinburgh.
“Emergency services attended and a 42-year-old man was taken to hospital for treatment.
“Three men, aged 32, 34 and 60, have been arrested in connection with the incident and enquiries are ongoing.”
