The infamous brothers face a combined 59 charges in the UK, including rape and human trafficking

Andrew and Tristan Tate were arrested by US Marshals in Miami on Saturday following an extradition request from Britain.

The brothers face a combined 59 criminal charges in the UK, including rape and human trafficking.

The dramatic arrests unfolded outside the James L Knight Center just moments before Andrew was due to host a bare-knuckle boxing event, with footage showing federal agents placing the brothers in handcuffs.

The pair, who hold dual British and American citizenship, have denied all wrongdoing.

They are expected to appear at Miami's federal courthouse on Monday, where prosecutors will unseal the indictment.

The Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) has charged Andrew, 39, with 42 offences, while his younger brother Tristan, 37, faces a further 17 counts.

The allegations relate to the alleged abuse of women between 2012 and 2015.

The offences are alleged to have taken place in an area north of London, where the brothers were raised.

Spectators gathered outside the Miami venue were ordered to stand back as marshals carried out the operation before the brothers were placed into unmarked vehicles and driven away.

The arrests came just days after it emerged the pair had travelled to Washington DC, where they met Republican Congressman Wesley Hunt and attended an event hosted by Paolo Zampolli, President Donald Trump's special envoy.

A source familiar with the Trump administration offered a blunt assessment to the Mail following the arrests.

"Paolo loves the Tates, but the rest of the Government doesn't," the source said.

"A good reminder that he's not exactly representative."

Bedfordshire Police confirmed the brothers' arrest, with Assistant Chief Constable Karena Thomas addressing the case directly.

"Officers from our major crime unit have been working closely alongside the Crown Prosecution Service and both national and international law enforcement agencies as part of this complex investigation," she said.

"There is no place for male violence against women and girls, and we will continue to work tirelessly to support victims and investigate all reports made to us."

The Tate brothers moved to Romania in 2016, where they were arrested in 2022 over allegations of luring women for sexual exploitation.

That case later collapsed because of legal and procedural irregularities.

The pair's arrest comes just weeks after they lost a legal challenge against the CPS after asking the courts to name their alleged victims.

At a hearing at the The Royal Courts of Justice, the brother's barrister said the decision to withhold names was "flawed" and said they had been "treated differently".

Lawyers for the CPS argued the claim should be thrown out, saying the "time-limited" decision to keep the alleged victims anonymous were substantiated by fears the Tates could identify them online.

Mr Justice Chamberlain dismissed the brother's challenge, finding it was not "arguable".
