'They HATE the West' - White House gives Britons chilling wake-up call amid surge in left-wing violence

The White House official said that under Barack Obama and Joe Biden, the biggest threat to the US had been considered white supremacy - an evaluation driven by "politics or political correctness".

He said: "Well, white supremacists didn't try and kill President Trump on multiple occasions.

"White supremacists didn't try and firebomb a federal facility in New York a couple of days ago.

"White supremacists didn't kill my friend Charlie Kirk."

Dr Gorka warned Britain's News Channel that the "radical left" was a "very different enemy from al Qaeda or Isis" when asked to outline the nature of left-wing terrorism.

He said: "What this is, is disparate, radical actors, whether it's Antifa, whether it's anarchists, whether it's the 'down with immigration and border control lunatics' who have one thing in common."

He added: "They hate everything that's good. They hate nation states. They hate borders. They hate traditional values.

"Whether it's the nuclear family, whether it's pride in your nation, if you want to find the one connective tissue, it's they hate the West."

In the wake of a chilling Iranian threat to Melania Trump, Mr Gorka then issued a vital piece of advice to Britain.

"My advice to the UK is my advice to every Western nation: You don't have a country without borders, and you need to take threats seriously.

"As a survivor of the Holocaust once said, when a group of people repeatedly call for your death, sooner or later you should take them seriously.

"That goes for the Nazis of the Third Reich. That went for the Soviet Union during the Cold War. And that goes for jihadis today... Whether they are Sunni jihadists like Al-Qaeda, those responsible for 7/7 and 9/11, or whether they are Shiite extremists such as the Iranian regime."

Earlier this month, Marco Rubio and Dr Gorka held a 66-country summit against left-wing terror - described by the Secretary of State as a "blind spot" in global counterterrorism strategies.

Antifa and left-wing extremism posed a transnational threat, with terrorists communicating, training, travelling, and "sharing the same infrastructure" together, Mr Rubio told US allies.

The international meeting followed the release of the White House's counterterrorism strategy, which Dr Gorka said was "26 years of my life into 16 pages".

The Senior Director for Counterterrorism vowed to combat left-wing terrorism along with Homeland Security Adviser Stephen Miller, FBI Director Kash Patel and acting Attorney General Todd Blanche.

Also in attendance at this month's counterterrorism summit were US Education Secretary Linda McMahon and Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent.

But officials from European countries were "more concerned about right-wing terrorism than left-wing terrorism", sources told the Washington Post.

Last year, Donald Trump proscribed Antifa as a "domestic terrorist organisation" through an executive order.

In June, 15 members of Direct Action Minnesota (Damn) were charged with a variety of crimes, including conspiracy to impede a federal officer, multiple counts of interstate stalking, interstate threats, and multiple counts of assault on a federal officer, and destruction of government property.

Later that month, eight "North Texas Antifa Cell operatives" were sentenced to a collective 450 years in prison for their roles in a riot outside an immigration detention centre in Texas.

Benjamin Hanil Song, convicted of the attempted murder of a law enforcement officer, was sentenced to 100 years in prison, with a minimum prison term of 20 years.
