Two people have been shot dead and several others wounded at a factory site in Germany, sparking a major armed police operation.
Shots were heard in Lagerstraße near the Hamburg Messe exhibition and convention centre earlier this evening.
The building houses DELTA Fleisch Abholmarkt, a meat processing company, and fight club Universum Box Promotion.
Officers from across the city have been dispatched to the German city's Schanzenviertel district following the attack.
The shooting has initiated a citywide manhunt and the crime scene has been cordoned off by emergency services.
Officials have yet to release any information regarding the motive or background of the crime
Authorities have reportedly requested assistance from Bundespolizei, Germany's federal police force.
