After the bombing last week, she is believed to have fled to Germany

The Ukrainian woman suspected of carrying out the Monaco bombing has been shot dead near Kyiv, local media outlets have reported.

The body of Anastasiia Berezovska, 39, is understood to have been found near the Ukrainian capital last night.

However, no official confirmation of her death has been made by the Ukrainian authorities.

She was suspected of being behind the attempted murder of sanctioned Ukrainian oligarch Vadym Yermolaiev on June 29.

The oligarch's partner and son were also seriously injured in the attack.

Berezovska was the main suspect after a package was left at the entrance hall of an apartment block in Monaco around 9pm local time last Monday.

She was believed to have been disguised as a man when carrying out the attack, using a remote control to detonate the bomb.

The suspect is understood to have then fled on foot to France, where there is no border with Monaco.

She is understood to have subsequently driven on to Germany.

An Interpol red notice was issued on Thursday, where Berezovska was wanted for attempted murder, placing an explosive device on a public road with criminal conspiracy and intent.

Following the bombing, Yermolaiev's partner, Ukrainian Anna Nasobina, 46, had to have her legs amputated due to her injuries and is understood to be in a critical condition.

The couple’s son, Ariel, 13, also sustained minor injuries.

Yermolaiev was given Cypriot nationality in 2019, a common path for people from both Ukraine and Russia.

He was placed under Ukrainian sanctions in 2023.

Ukrainian media have revealed the oligarch was sanctioned after doing business in Russian-occupied Crimea.

Berezovska is believed to have returned to Ukraine on July 1.

Local media outlets have said that two suspects were detained after Berezovska's body was discovered.

"One of them is a current officer of the Main Intelligence Directorate [GUR], the other is a former law enforcement officer," the report stated.
