I was banned from Reddit within two hours of asking three pressing questions, GB News presenter Martin Daubney writes

Yesterday afternoon I was dramatically BANNED by woke internet platform Reddit. Why? For doing my job: asking tough questions of politicians.

In this case Andy Burnham, our Prime Minister in-waiting. Reddit was hosting an “Ask Me Anything” question that was open to anybody with a Reddit account.

So, signing in as MrGBNews, just before my 3pm show yesterday, I posted the following questions: "Hi Mr Burnham, Daubs here from GB News: 1. As only 0.086 per cent of the total British population voted for you in Makerfield, is it not fair to throw a General Election?

"2 Will you deport Pakistani paedophile Shabir Ahmed on your first day in office? If not, why not?

"3. Is it still your goal to take the UK back into the European Union?4 You've never voted for Welfare cuts in your entire political career. Will your Labour government be for the Workshy, not the Workers? Cheers!"

All perfectly valid questions. All factually correct. And nothing remotely hateful about them. I didn’t expect any answers, as the questions were hand-picked by Burnham’s lackeys. But I didn’t expect to get banned, either.

I was banned within two hours – and broke the story on my show just before 5pm.

The obvious candidate is “Pakistani paedophile Shabir Ahmed”. Well, Ahmed is Pakistani. And as he was jailed for 19 years after being convicted of 30 child rape offences, he’s definitely a paedophile.

Yet in the eyes of woke Reddit moderators, that was “hate”. “Ask Me Anything” meant “well, anything except difficult questions about rape gangs”.

And that brings us to another huge problem. Dangerous, woke, establishment media bias that has all the hallmarks of cowardice and censorship.

WOKE MEDIA BIAS This week, Labour’s Culture Secretary, Lisa Nandy, quit X in a huff. Her Department for Culture, Media and Sport also stopped using Elon Musk’s platform.
But why the strop?

Nandy trilled: “A platform originally designed for free speech and expression now favours abuse and misinformation over meaningful debate. It isn't healthy for our democracy or our communities and I don't want to support it”.

The previous week, Nandy used her position to implore internet search engines to boost “trusted” establishment news sources such as the BBC. So “trusted” they’re facing a $10 billion “fake news” lawsuit from Donald Trump?

Last night, Burnham appeared on ultra-woke Reddit – having refused to take any questions from any journalists, including GB News, at his Manchester launch on Monday.
Do you see what is happening here?

This is a government retreating into left wing echo chambers, which they tell us can be “trusted”. Ask soft-soap questions, and you’re in. Ask tough questions, and you’re banned.

They’re starting to look like woke cry babies who don’t like tough questions or uncomfortable truths.

When Elon Musk began exposing the horrors of Britain’s Pakistani rape gangs on X in January last year, his 51 posts generated approximately 1.2 billion engagements.

That created a PR disaster so huge for Sir Keir Sarmer’s Labour government they were eventually dragged, kicking and screaming, into a rape gang inquiry they did everything in their power to avoid.

At last, in Elon Musk, rape gang survivors had a champion even Prime Ministers could not ignore.

And that same thorny topic will be in Andy Burnham’s in-tray when he is coronated as Prime Minister on July 17.

Grooming gang survivor’s champion Maggie Oliver has been very critical of Andy Burnham’s independent Greater Manchester child sexual exploitation review.

Maggie has argued Burnham did not fully confront difficult issues arising from the evidence. She claimed Burnham "fell short" and “ducked out” – and put his political position ahead of fully pursuing accountability.

What, one wonders, is Andy Burnham or the Labour Party so afraid of?

Pakistani paedophile Shabir Ahmed worked as a welfare officer for Labour-controlled Oldham Council from 1988 to 2006. There are numerous reports he was a member of the Labour Party.

Did anybody in the Labour Party know Ahmed was raping children, while acting as a ringleader for the area’s biggest rape gang?

In the fullness of time, we will find out. And anybody, no matter how far up the food chain, or how far back in time, should go to jail. Or be deported on the first flight back to Islamabad.

There will be nowhere to hide. And if the Labour Party continues to refuse to answer these questions, they will be answered at the ballot box at the next General Election.

When they will be driven out of power by a working class sick to the back teeth of being called “Far Right” or hateful – just for demanding the truth.
