Nigel Farage defended his decision not to stand for Reform UK in this year's General Election
BBC Question Time host Fiona Bruce was forced to interject a bitter spat between Reform UK's Honorary President Nigel Farage and Broadcaster Piers Morgan after being accused of "bottling" a major election decision.
Appearing on the panel show, Farage and Morgan descended into a heated debate after the Reform ally was grilled by an audience member on his decision not to stand in the General Election.
As Farage attempted to explain his reasons for not standing, Morgan interjected and heckled him, claiming he "bottled it".
Farage was outraged by the remark and told Morgan: "You've never had the bottle to stand!"
When grilled by Morgan on why he didn't stand with Reform but still decided to back to campaign, Farage stated that there "was not enough time" to prepare a campaign from scratch.
Morgan hit back at Farage, fuming: "You've had all year to think about this election!"
Farage then argued that he has "not had all year" as he had been presenting his TV show on GB News.
He hit back: "I have a nightly TV show, yours has been shut down. But mine is still going!"
The audience let out an eruption of laughter as the argument descended into chaos.
Morgan defended his new show, shouting over Farage: "I came off old linear television because you're sitting there with nobody watching, and you're losing tons of money!"
Fiona was forced to interject and force her arms outwards as she exclaimed: "Oh my god! Okay Piers and Nigel, as much as you want to sort out your kind of TV rivalries, this is not the place to do it.
Morgan continued to throw remarks at Farage, joking: "I'm on YouTube now, I'm like Justin Bieber!"
