Conservative leader Kemi Badenoch has hailed the party's Aberdeen South by-election victory, after Scottish Tory MSP Douglas Lumsden seized the seat from the SNP.
Speaking at a victory rally in Aberdeen, Mrs Badenoch said: "What a journey it has been, and there are so many people to thank, but we have to start by thanking the people of Aberdeen for putting their trust in us. Thank you so much.
"Aberdeen has sent a message to the Labour government and to the SNP that we will not be ignored. Aberdeen will not be ignored. The sector will not be ignored.
"We know that you have put your trust in us, and we know that it wasn't just Conservative voters who supported us. There were many people who voted Conservative for the first time.
"Many people liked what Douglas had to say, and I want you to know that we will never stop fighting for you. We will never stop fighting for oil and gas. We will never stop fighting for your jobs, for your families, for your city. Thank you, Aberdeen, for putting your trust in us."
