Nigel Farage reports Zack Polanski to police over social media post calling for his decapitation

The Reform UK leader has repeatedly said that he is the 'most physically and verbally attacked politician of modern times'

Nigel Farage has reported Green Party leader Zack Polanski to the police for "incitement to murder" after he shared a social media post.

The post, shared with his 713K followers and later deleted, featured a man wearing a T-shirt that called for the decapitation of Mr Farage.

The shirt read: "We're only making plans for Nigel," alongside a guillotine.

Reform UK confirmed to GB News that Mr Polanski was reported to the Metropolitan Police.

A spokesman for the force said: "On Monday, 27 July, we received a third-party report relating to an image shared on social media.

"We take reports of this nature extremely seriously, and officers are conducting enquiries into the matter."

Alex Wilson, the Party's Leader on the London Assembly, will also be reporting Mr Polanski to the Monitoring Officer on the GLA, GB News understands.

A Green spokesman said: "After attending a public event, Zack accepted a request to collaborate on a post with several images. Once this image was brought to his attention he immediately unshared the post. He unequivocally does not support this type of dangerous message."

Mr Farage responded to the post by calling for the arrest of the Green Party leader.

He wrote on X: "This is what Zack Polanski has just posted on his Instagram. If I was to post anything as inciteful then I would expect to be arrested, and so should Polanski."

Zia Yusuf, Reform UK's Home Affairs spokesman, echoed the call for police to look into the post.

He wrote: "Zack Polanski has posted to his 713k Instagram followers a photo of a man in a T-shirt calling for the beheading of Nigel Farage."

He added: "To do this just 2 weeks after our friend Ann was murdered is staggering. Polanski is inciting murder. It must be treated as such by the police."

The Green Party leader has frequently labelled Mr Farage a "fascist" and a "grifter."

The Reform UK leader has repeatedly said that he is the "most physically and verbally attacked politician of modern times."

He argued the style of his public engagement puts his life at constant risk.

Mr Polanski's post comes just two weeks after the murder of Reform UK's immigration spokeswoman, Ann Widdecombe, at her home.

Westminster Magistrates' Court was told last week that Ms Widdecombe sustained 21 blows to the head from a hammer.
