'I am determined to lead Reform to victory at the next general election,' the Clacton MP declared

Nigel Farage has set out his plans for the future of Reform UK as he addressed the party conference in Birmingham.

Amid an hour-long delay over security fears and hecklers attempting to disrupt proceedings, Mr Farage delivered his speech to thunderous applause and cheers.

In his address, Mr Farage warned the political establishment had launched a “highly coordinated campaign of attacks” against Reform UK because “they're scared of us”.

Turning to his 100-day pledge, Mr Farage promised sweeping action if Reform enters government, including stopping the boats, cutting energy bills, boosting NHS training and slashing benefit spending.

“We will keep our pledges,” he said, warning ministers: “If in a hundred days they have not delivered on their promises, I will sack them and replace them with somebody else with the courage to do it.”

He also promised to declare a “national emergency” to push through Reform's programme and vowed: “We will do whatever it takes.”

Concluding his speech, Mr Farage said he had spent 35 years in politics because he believed in “a sovereign, proud, independent country”.

“I'm only here because of the failure of our political class,” he said. “I am determined to lead Reform to victory at the next general election. That is my job.”
