The US President shared an edited clip appearing to show the monarch turning his back on an Asda worker
Donald Trump appeared to share a manipulated video clip on his Truth Social platform depicting King Charles walking away from a man who collapsed in front of him during a royal engagement.
Buckingham Palace declined to comment. GB News has contacted the White House for clarification.
In 2020, King Charles and Queen Camilla, the then-Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall, visited an Asda distribution centre in Bristol, where a staff member fainted while speaking to the future monarch.
In an edited clip shared by Mr Trump, Charles appeared to raise his hands in a gesture of helplessness before promptly turning his back on the stricken worker, as though entirely unmoved by the incident.
The unedited footage, however, shows Charles reaching out his arm in an attempt to catch the man as he fell backwards to the ground.
The King remained nearby, clearly worried, while the employee received medical care.
He stepped away only once his security team confirmed the individual was not seriously hurt.
The worker recovered swiftly and was able to resume his conversation with King Charles shortly afterwards.
The edited video, which formed part of a three-minute montage published over the US Labour Day holiday, was designed to present Mr Trump as a compassionate leader described as "the people's president".
The montage did not single out the King alone. French President Emmanuel Macron was shown walking past without stopping as a ceremonial guard collapsed at the Élysée Palace.
Joe Biden was depicted apparently glancing at his watch during a solemn ceremony, while Barack Obama was shown performing his infamous "latte salute", greeting his Marine guards while clutching a paper cup as he disembarked from the presidential helicopter.
By contrast, President Trump was portrayed greeting military personnel and police officers, paying respects to fallen soldiers, embracing elderly veterans, and behaving as a devoted husband.
A caption in the film claimed it showed "the side of Trump the media doesn't show you".
The decision to portray the monarch in an unflattering manner is a notable departure, given Mr Trump's well-documented enthusiasm for the British Royal Family.
Mr Trump has, however, been far less charitable towards the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.
He has accused Harry and Meghan, who recently returned to Britain from the United States, of showing "great disrespect" towards the institution of the monarchy. He went so far as to say he "wouldn't have taken them back".
