The Duke and Duchess of Sussex landed at Birmingham Airport on Wednesday
Lady Eliza Spencer has become the first relative of Prince Harry to publicly respond to the Duke of Sussex's relocation to Britain, describing the news as "exciting" at an event in London on Wednesday evening.
The 34-year-old, who is the daughter of Princess Diana's brother, Earl Charles Spencer, made the remarks just hours after the Sussexes touched down in Birmingham.
She was speaking at the launch of her rosé brand Lala V, held at Knightsbridge drinks retailer Hackstons.
"Absolutely, it's exciting! We would love to be able to find some time to visit," she told The Mirror.
Neither Harry nor Meghan Markle has commented publicly on their return to the UK.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex flew into Birmingham Airport on Wednesday lunchtime aboard a private jet from California, accompanied by Prince Archie, seven, and Princess Lilibet, five.
It emerged last week that the family were planning to move back to Harry's home country, with both children already enrolled at a British school.
After landing, the family of four travelled to a private, non-royal residence. The precise location has been kept under wraps, though it is understood to be in the Cotswolds.
The Sussexes are not selling their Montecito home in California. The reasons behind the move remain unclear, though it is likely that Harry wanted to be nearer to family and for his children to be educated in Britain.
When asked whether she might exchange winemaking tips with the Duchess of Sussex, who launched her own Napa Valley rosé last year through her As Ever lifestyle brand, Lady Eliza replied: "Maybe!"
Both women now have competing ventures in the rosé market, with Eliza's Lala V making its debut at the Knightsbridge event.
Eliza is also preparing for a personal milestone, having become engaged to her longtime partner Channing Millerd. She told The Mirror that wedding planning is still in its early stages.
Asked whether both Harry and his estranged brother Prince William would receive invitations, she said family members would feature on the guest list but did not elaborate further.
Harry, 41, has maintained strong bonds with his mother's side of the family throughout the rift with senior royals. He is particularly close to his uncle, Earl Spencer.
In July, Harry and Meghan brought Archie and Lilibet to Althorp, Diana's childhood home and final resting place, where they spent time with Charles Spencer, his wife Cat Jarman and several cousins from the maternal side of the family.
Sources told People that rebuilding a life in Britain had been on Harry's mind for some time and that he "never really stopped missing home."
The move brings him geographically closer to friends and family he has been separated from during six years in California.
Harry and Prince William remain estranged, with sources indicating the brothers are still in "no contact."
