Catherine undertook several engagements at the tennis championship today
The Princess of Wales made her first appearance at this year's Wimbledon Championships today, delighting crowds as she mingled with tennis enthusiasts who had queued since the early morning hours.
Catherine, 44, opted for a sophisticated blue linen suit paired with a white top for the occasion, styling her hair in a ponytail and accessorising with drop earrings featuring oval royal-blue gemstones.
The Princess of Wales spent time greeting members of the public, posing for photographs and warmly embracing fans eager to capture the moment.
She also distributed grounds passes to dedicated supporters, many of whom had spent the night camping in Wimbledon Park to secure their place at the prestigious tournament.
The Princess of Wales watched action on one of the outer courts during her visit, accompanied by former British tennis star Tim Henman and All England Club chair Deborah Jevans.
Later in the day, Catherine spent time with youngsters from Shine Camera Club, an initiative that uses creative photography to support children from disadvantaged backgrounds.
The visit marks another engagement in what has been a busy period for the Princess of Wales, who completed the demanding Three Peaks Challenge solo just last Saturday.
Catherine has served as royal patron of the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club since 2016, cementing her status as a familiar presence at the annual tournament.
Her connection to Wimbledon stretches back further still, with regular attendance since 2011 interrupted only twice: in 2013 during her pregnancy with Prince George, and in 2020 when the pandemic forced the Championships' cancellation.
The Princess of Wales last Wimbledon appearance came at the men's final in 2025, presenting Jannik Sinner with the trophy after his captivating four-set victory.
Her appearance today follows an impressive physical feat, having tackled Britain's three highest peaks alone over the weekend with Mountain Rescue support, her family greeting her at Snowdon's base in Wales.
Centre Court action today features 20-year-old French rising star Arthur Fils taking on Italy's Matteo Berrettini, while two-time champion Elena Rybakina will conclude proceedings against American Caty McNally.
The Princess of Wales was joined in the Royal Box by Prince William, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, though Prince Louis remained at home for the occasion.
Catherine also wore her signature 'Wimbledon bow', a brooch displaying the tournament's distinctive colours that she is believed to have donned at every visit to the Championships.
