King Felipe and Queen Letizia of Spain watched their eldest daughter Princess Leonor take part in the flag swearing-in ceremony on Saturday.
Leonor, 17, is heir to the Spanish throne and holds the title of Princess of Asturias.
She looked very regal in military uniform as she stepped out beside her fellow cadets over the weekend.
Leonor's father, King Felipe, 55, presided over the ceremony at the Military Academy of Zaragoza, along with Queen Letizia, 51.
The monarch wore his military uniform, while Letizia looked stunning in a sleeveless blue and black polka dot dress.
The ceremony saw Princess Leonor kiss the Spanish flag, which was in keeping with her country's tradition.
The 17-year-old also swore an oath of allegiance to her father, the King.
After the Spanish national anthem was played, King Felipe reviewed the troops while walking in front of his daughter.
The princess, who will be 18 at the end of this month, had spent all week rehearsing for four hours a day, according to local media reports.
Infanta Sofia of Spain, 16, is Leonor's younger sister, and she was notably absent from Saturday's event.
The 16-year-old is studying at the UWC Atlantic College in Wales.
The school is often referred to as "Hippie Hogwarts" due to its progressive approach to education.
Whereas Leonor will follow a strict timetable at the General Military Academy of Zaragoza.
The princess is only free to return home at the weekends if she's not on military duty.
After training at the General Military Academy in Zaragoza, Leonor will complete her three years at the General Air Academy.
