The King's official birthday parade saw the Royal Family step out in the London sun before delighting fans with their iconic Buckingham Palace balcony appearance

Today marked one of the most important days of the royal calendar, as the Trooping the Colour parade decorated parts of central London, with swathes of royal fans lining the streets to catch a glimpse.

It was a traditional display of military excellence and prowess, watched on by some of the most senior and distinguished Royal Family members.

The King and Queen, Prince and Princess of Wales and the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh all stepped out on the iconic Buckingham Palace balcony to watch the RAF's flypast.

It was a day where Catherine received plaudits for a tremendous ensemble, King Charles brilliantly led the parade and Prince Louis left his mischievous mark during the ceremony.
