Gareth Southgate has named his final squad for the Uefa Euro 2024 in Germany but some fans felt some major names were left out of the roster.

The final 26-man group for the tournament has been selected ahead of their last preparation game against Iceland at Wembley on Friday evening.

The Three Lions team head to Germany next week with the hope of bringing home glory.

Southgate had picked a 33-man training squad in May, with the group meeting up last week ahead of the game with Bosnia & Herzegovina at St. James' Park last Friday.

The final group will now take on Iceland before they travel to Germany on June 10 ahead of their opening Euro game with Serbia in Gelsenkirchen on June 16.

The final selection caused a stir among fans as both Jack Grealish and Harry Maguire did not make the cut.

It had already emerged on Thursday that James Maddison, Curtis Jones, James Trafford and Jarell Quansah won't be playing at the competition in Germany.

Maguire has struggled with an injury in recent weeks, which is why he's been omitted.

The Manchester United star has never put a foot wrong playing for his country, having been a regular during Gareth Southgate's time in charge.

Maguire hasn't featured since a 1-1 draw between United and Burnley at the end of April.

As for Grealish, the City star struggled for form during the 2023/2024 season.

He netted just three goals across 36 appearances, with injuries also hampering his campaign.

Like Maguire, he's been a regular in the England set-up over the years.
