Jude Bellingham has revealed his dream of becoming the next James Bond after football, with the England star admitting he would love to swap the pitch for the big screen once his playing career eventually comes to an end.
The Real Madrid midfielder opened up about his ambitions away from football during an appearance on After Hours with James Corden, where he also discussed England's World Cup hopes, life in Spain and the possibility of one day playing in Major League Soccer.
Bellingham has already been one of England's standout performers in the tournament, scoring twice during the group stage and providing an assist for Harry Kane as Thomas Tuchel's side secured top spot in Group L.
The 23-year-old is expected to start Wednesday's last-16 clash against DR Congo in Atlanta, with England now just five victories away from ending their 60-year wait to lift the World Cup.
But it was Bellingham's Hollywood ambitions that provided the biggest talking point.
Asked what he would like to do outside football, the England international admitted portraying Britain's most famous fictional spy would be the ultimate challenge.
"People would always ask me, 'What's the thing you want to do outside of football?' And I never really give it that much thought," Bellingham said.
"But when I have, it always comes out – I'd love to be in a film.
