England's World Cup preparations have been given an unexpected twist after reports emerged that several members of Norway's squad have been struggling with illness ahead of Saturday's quarter-final in Miami.
Thomas Tuchel's side take on the Scandinavian nation for a place in the last four after both teams produced memorable victories in the round of 16.
Norway stunned Brazil 2-1 at the MetLife Stadium to reach the quarter-finals for the first time in their history, sparking jubilant celebrations among players and supporters alike.
The squad celebrated on the pitch with their trademark "Viking Row" before continuing the festivities inside the dressing room, where manager Stale Solbakken hailed the victory as the greatest in Norwegian football history.
"We had a plan that you guys followed perfectly," Solbakken told his players.
"We had matchwinners in both ends of the pitch. I just told them, Erling, you can all go out tonight."
However, the mood has reportedly been tempered by growing concerns over the squad's physical condition following weeks of extensive travel across North America.
According to Norwegian newspaper Dagbladet, the constant flights and demanding schedule have taken a toll on the players, with illness affecting several members of the travelling party.

Norway have criss-crossed the United States throughout the tournament, opening their campaign in Boston before travelling to New Jersey, returning to Boston, heading to Dallas and then flying back to New York for the victory over Brazil.
Crystal Palace striker Jorgen Strand Larsen missed Norway's opening World Cup match because of illness, while defender Marcus Holmgren Pedersen was unavailable against Brazil after falling ill.
Solbakken himself was also seen coughing repeatedly during a press conference following Norway's earlier defeat to France.
Addressing the situation, the Norway boss said: "We've really only had Jorgen who has had a fever.

"But there's air conditioning, flights, changing rooms and all that. We're over 50 people so it would be strange if one or the other didn't come."
Norway are due to travel from their training base in Greensboro, North Carolina, to Miami, giving the players several days to recover before facing England.
Before this tournament, Norway had never progressed beyond the group stage at a major finals, making Saturday's clash one of the biggest matches in the country's football history.
Solbakken is under no illusions about the challenge awaiting his side.
"We have to study England but obviously we have seen them in their previous games in the tournament and they will be a very strong opponent but hopefully it will be a very even and tight game," he said.
England arrive in Florida full of confidence after their dramatic 3-2 victory over Mexico at the Azteca Stadium.
Tuchel's side overcame a lengthy weather delay, hostile home support and the dismissal of Jarell Quansah to secure one of the most memorable knockout victories in recent England history.

Jude Bellingham struck twice before Harry Kane converted from the penalty spot after Quansah's red card, with England ultimately surviving a late Mexican fightback.
After the match, Tuchel praised his players' resilience.
"A heroic performance and a heroic result," he said.
"I'm so happy with the players, and also for me, to live this experience in the last two days. Such a special memory, and against all the adversity it makes it very special for us.
"If a team has heart and belief then it's this team. They did it on pure will. No words. Iconic match, iconic stadium, we overcame so much adversity today."
England will be without suspended Quansah in the quarter-final, while Jordan Henderson has been ruled out after suffering a serious arm injury following the victory over Mexico.
Tuchel is also waiting to discover whether Reece James can recover from his hamstring problem in time to feature as England chase a place in the World Cup semi-finals.
