Dyson discontinued its previous handheld-only vacuum back in 2022
Dyson has unveiled the next gadget joining its product lineup — the Car+Boat handheld vacuum.
This compact new cleaner promises to deliver the same power of Dyson's full-sized cordless stick vacuums in a miniaturised package designed specifically for cleaning the interior of your car, boat, or hard-to-reach at home.
Available in the United States today, the Dyson Car+Boat will release in the UK on February 4 at £249.99.

Dyson has cut prices across its floorcare, hair treatment, and air filtration lineups — with up to £150 off the top-of-the-line laser-guided Dyson V15 Detect Submarine. Price starts from £229. The deals are only available while stock lasts, with some models already sold out due to high demand
It's worth noting that if you already have a recent cordless stick vacuum from Dyson, like the laser-guided V15 released last year, it's possible to snap the attachments onto the main body without the wand, making something similar to the Car+Boat handheld.
But if you don't already own a Dyson — or are specifically looking for something to keep outside of the house, the Car+Boat definitely doesn't compromise on power. Inside the Dyson Car+Boat is high-performance motor that spins at 110,000 rpm. That's really fast. For comparison, the engines on a Boeing 737 jet hit an average of 15,000 rotations-per-minute.
It puts the Car+Boat on-par with the power of Dyson's V8 stick vacuum, which was first launched in 2016.
Dyson has fitted its handheld cleaner with a 50-minute battery life and filtration system that captures 99.99% of particles as small as 0.3 microns, which should be enough to capture dust mites, pet dander, bacteria, and other nasties.
Asaph Ooi, Dyson Engineer, said: "We've redefined what a handheld vacuum can do. The Dyson Car+Boat delivers the kind of power, filtration, and ease-of-use that our customers have come to expect, making it the ultimate companion for cleaning every surface, from home to on-the-go."
The arrival of the Car+Boat marks a return to the handheld form-factor for Dyson, following the discontinuation of its previous model, dubbed the Dyson Humdinger.
This handheld gadget should be particularly valuable when tackling mattresses, pet beds and upholstery where allergy-triggering particles commonly accumulate.
Inside the box, you'll find attachments including a Mini Motorised Tool for stubborn dirt and hair, a 2-in-1 Combination Tool featuring a dusting brush and wide nozzle, and a Crevice Tool for edges and narrow gaps.
The launch of the Dyson Car+Boat vacuum comes after a busy few months for the British brand, following the launch of its first dedicated wet floor cleaner, the Wash G1, and its wireless, noise-cancelling headphones.
