  • Google fans in UK and US can't access Google Gemini

Despite the flood of reports from disgruntled users, Google's online service dashboard claims that "all systems are operational."

For those who don't know, Google Gemini is the catch-all brand name for the US search engine's family of AI models designed to understand and generate text, images, audio, video, and code. Gemini powers AI features across Google's products, including Search, Gmail, Docs, and Android devices.

It can assist with tasks such as answering questions, summarising information, creating content, analysing data, and helping with programming. Several users have posted on X, explaining that Gemini is showing errors such as "1076" and "1099" when starting new chats.

If you're experiencing these issues, there may be a short-term workaround. Some are saying if you re-paste in the same inquiry, it reboots the system and responds to your query. Google Gemini generally maintains high availability, experiencing widespread, full-platform outages only a handful of times a year.
