British holidaymakers can book the new routes for some winter sun

Norse Atlantic Airways has unveiled a major boost to its Thailand flight schedule for the coming winter season, and British travellers are set to benefit.

The airline is launching a brand-new route from London Gatwick to Phuket, with flights running three times a week starting December 2026.

That's not all for UK passengers. Manchester Airport will see its Bangkok services jump to four flights per week, giving northern travellers even more options to reach Southeast Asia.

The moves come as the carrier responds to what it describes as strong customer appetite for travel to the region.

CEO of Norse Atlantic Airways, Eivind Roald, said: "Thailand continues to be one of the most popular destinations in our network. We are delighted to offer customers even more opportunities to visit both Bangkok and Phuket this winter, in line with our strategy of adding capacity where demand is strongest.

"Whether customers are looking for vibrant city experiences, beautiful beaches or a longer winter escape, the additional flights provide more flexibility, greater choice and affordable direct travel from the UK and Scandinavia."

The announcement follows what Norse Atlantic calls a strong year so far, with improved operations and solid demand from customers.

Stockholm Arlanda gets the same treatment, with up to five weekly flights to Bangkok and two to Phuket.

For those looking for something different, the airline will continue its popular winter sun routes from London Gatwick to Bangkok and Cape Town throughout the season. Travellers keen to snap up seats can book now through the airline's website at flynorse.com.

This is not the only exciting new route announcement this month. Jet2 will run new and exclusive routes to holiday spots with picturesque scenery and year-round sun.
