With UK school holidays underway, the top family-friendly destinations have been shared
Spain dominates the list of the UK's favourite family holiday spots, with Ibiza making a surprising appearance, despite being best known for its nightlife.
New research found the Spanish island is now among the top 10 places British families most want to visit, ranking eighth ahead of Sunny Beach in Bulgaria and Parga in Greece.
The survey by Co-op Travel found Tenerife is the UK's favourite family holiday destination, with 32 per cent of people choosing the Canary Island.
Orlando came second on 30 per cent, followed by Spain's Costa Blanca (28 per cent), Portugal's Algarve (27 per cent) and Lanzarote (26 per cent).

While destinations such as Tenerife, Lanzarote and the Algarve have long been favourites with British families, the research highlighted how Ibiza is becoming more popular with parents.
The island is often thought of as a party destination, but there are many beautiful, quieter areas to discover. It is home to a growing number of family-friendly resorts, peaceful beaches and traditional towns, offering a different side to the destination many people still associate with clubbing holidays.
Further down the list is Lapland, showing that festive breaks remain a popular choice for families, while Antalya's place in the top 10 highlights Turkey continues to be a top choice for value.
Chief operating officer at Co-op Travel, Claire Evans, said: "It's great to see families embracing such a wide range of destinations. While traditional favourites like Tenerife, the Algarve and Orlando continue to prove popular, it's also encouraging to see perceptions changing around places like Ibiza, which has quietly developed a fantastic family offering in recent years.
"Family holidays are all about creating lasting memories, whether that's relaxing on the beach, exploring somewhere new or ticking off a bucket-list experience together. The destinations topping our research show there's something to suit every family, whatever kind of getaway they're looking for."
For families planning a trip, Co-op Travel has a range of deals to destinations in the rankings, including holidays to the Algarve from £684 per person, Tenerife from £758 per person, Ibiza from £2,029 per family and Orlando from £7,225 per family.
The travel company is also offering £100 off qualifying package holidays over £1,500, along with a further £100 voucher towards a future booking, subject to terms and conditions.
