British sunseekers have more reason to visit Morocco, with TUI adding three new destinations to its North African programme.
Fez, Rabat and Tangier have all joined the tour operator's line-up, sitting alongside the already popular options of Marrakesh, Agadir and Taghazout.
Holidaymakers can now choose between beach getaways, resort stays and proper cultural city breaks — all in one short-haul destination.
Morocco has long been a go-to for Britons thanks to year-round warm weather, vibrant markets, delicious food and affordable trips that feel a world away from the usual package holiday. Now, with these three new cities on offer, there has never been more choice.
Fez is Morocco's oldest imperial city, and holidaymakers can feel as if they have stepped into a museum.
The medina is a maze of narrow streets packed with colourful souks, artisan workshops and traditional rug-weaving studios.
Visitors can sit down for meals with local families and get a taste of Moroccan life beyond the tourist trail.
And the value is hard to beat. A glass of classic mint tea in a local spot will set you back just 8 to 15 Moroccan dirhams, which works out at around £1.
For anyone who loves history, craftsmanship and cultural immersion, Fez is a top pick.
TRAVEL INSPIRATION
Tangier sits right where the Mediterranean and the Atlantic collide, and where Europe and Africa meet. On a clear day, holidaymakers can see Spain from across the water.
The old medina is well worth exploring, the café culture is lovely, and it's also a great jumping-off point for day trips to Chefchaouen, famous for its stunning blue-washed streets.
Next, visitors can head to Morocco's capital, Rabat, which offers something a bit more laid-back. Think the Hassan Tower, the beautiful Kasbah des Oudaias, charming blue-and-white streets and Atlantic views — all without the frantic pace of a typical city break.
It is great for winter sun, with daytime temperatures regularly hitting 17°C to 20°C through January and February.
Flights to Morocco take under four hours from the UK, with regional departure options, and packages that come in at great prices.
Commercial director at TUI UK&I, Chris Logan, said: "Morocco is a brilliant choice for customers looking for sunshine, culture and value close to home.
"From beach breaks in Agadir and Taghazout to the buzz of Marrakech, it's a destination that gives holidaymakers so much choice in one short-haul trip.
"With packages at great prices, regional flying options and flight times of under four hours, Morocco is easy to get to from the UK. Some customers want the beach, some want the buzz of a city, and others want to discover somewhere that feels a little more off the beaten track.
"With Fez, Rabat and Tangier now in our programme, we're giving holidaymakers even more ways to experience Morocco and pack culture, value and sunshine into one easy getaway."
