Wizz Air will launch a new flight connecting London Gatwick with Hurghada, one of Egypt's most sought-after Red Sea resort towns.
The service is scheduled to jet off on January 11, 2027, with departures planned once a week on Mondays.
Fares for the route will start from £91.99, so it won't break the bank for holidaymakers looking to escape the British winter.
Tickets can already be purchased via the airline's website and its official mobile app.
The new Hurghada route will be the carrier's second Egyptian destination from Gatwick, joining its Sharm El Sheikh service.
It sits alongside Wizz Air's existing routes from London Luton to Hurghada, Sharm El Sheikh and Cairo, giving passengers more options for reaching Egypt.
Britons planning a January getaway can swap long-haul trips for a flight to Egypt, where they can expect sunny days and highs of 22°C.
With two Red Sea coastal resorts now served from Gatwick alone, British holidaymakers will have greater flexibility when planning their winter getaways to Egypt's sunshine destinations.
TRAVEL NEWS
Managing director at Wizz Air UK, Yvonne Moynihan, said: "As the scorcher of a summer draws to a close, the rain returns, and thoughts turn to escaping the colder months ahead, our new Hurghada route is welcome news for anyone already dreaming of their next dose of sunshine.
"Egypt's Red Sea coast has so much to offer, whether you want to relax on the beach, discover its incredible marine life or explore somewhere new.
"With Hurghada joining our existing Gatwick service to Sharm El Sheikh, our customers will have even more choice when it comes to an affordable winter escape. We look forward to welcoming our first passengers on board in January."
Hurghada has plenty to keep Britons entertained. The resort enjoys warm temperatures throughout the year, boasts extensive stretches of coastline, and is home to some of the Red Sea's most celebrated coral reefs.
Diving and snorkelling in the resort's crystal-clear waters are popular excursions, but the local marina and historic old town are great options for those wanting to stay on dry land.
For adventure beyond the beach, desert excursions into the nearby landscape give a different experience from the coastal scenery.
The mix of reliable sunshine, marine biodiversity, and affordable flights makes Hurghada a winter sun alternative for budget-conscious travellers.
