Set within the mundane surroundings of Slough paper merchant Wernham-Hogg, the series earned multiple awards and widespread critical praise.
Mr Gervais himself starred as the cringe-inducing manager David Brent, with Mr Crook playing his devoted assistant Gareth and Mr Freeman taking on the role of long-suffering salesman Tim.
Lucy Davis completed the central quartet as Dawn Tinsley, the receptionist who became the object of Tim's romantic affections.
