The former X Factor judge opened up on the loss of her husband one year on

Sharon Osbourne has revealed that she was forced to postpone a documentary chronicling her late husband Ozzy Osbourne's farewell performance because watching the footage proved emotionally overwhelming.

The Black Sabbath legend died in July 2025 at the age of 76, just 17 days after taking to the stage at Villa Park in Birmingham for what would be his final concert.

The film, titled Back To The Beginning: Ozzy's Final Bow, had been scheduled for release earlier this year but was pushed back.

"It's been very, very hard," Ms Osbourne told The Sun. "It took me a long time to be able to sit down and actually work through the rushes and everything."

The 73-year-old confirmed the project is now nearing completion. "But it's nearly done so it's going to be out soon," she added.

Beyond the documentary, the former X Factor judge is simultaneously developing a biographical film about the rock icon's life, a process she has described as deeply moving.

"It is like going back in time, because we've been doing it from when we first started to work together, so that's the late Seventies," she explained. "So you go back in your mind in time, and, you know, you relive everything that went on. So, it's emotional again."

The businesswoman, who wed Ozzy in 1982, acknowledged that condensing his remarkable life into a single film presents its own difficulties.

"I want to keep it as real as I can," she said. "But it's very hard in film to try and get everything that you want in, because, you know, everybody wants it in there."

Ms Osbourne has previously made clear that she has no intention of finding another partner following Mr Osbourne's passing.

Speaking on Piers Morgan Uncensored last year, she reflected on life without her husband of more than four decades.

"Everything in my life now is like ish... it's OK, all right. I'm OK. That's it for now. For so, so many years, we were intertwined," she said.
