The Shake It Off hitmaker and her NFL-playing beau have officially tied the knot

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce exchanged wedding vows on Friday evening at Madison Square Garden in a ceremony that guests described as both moving and unexpectedly intimate.

Good Morning America presenter George Stephanopoulos, among the first attendees to speak publicly about the nuptials, offered his impressions to ABC News.

"The ceremony was great, moving," he said. "Vows, everything you would hope for, real, vulnerable, serious, and silly. Deeply loving."

He went on: "Who knew that a wedding in Madison Square Garden could be so intimate?"

The pop superstar and American football player officially became husband and wife at the iconic New York venue, with pink neon signs illuminating the arena at precisely 7:30pm reading "JUST&T MARRIED!" - a nod to both their first names.

Comedian and actor Adam Sandler presided over the ceremony, which drew approximately 1,000 celebrity guests to the Manhattan venue.

Mr Stephanopoulos praised Mr Sandler's performance as "funny and touching." The Hollywood star has a connection to both newlyweds as he appeared alongside Mr Kelce in the 2025 film Happy Gilmore 2 and has previously spoken about being an avid fan of Ms Swift's music.

Rather than traditional bridesmaids and groomsmen, the couple opted for a more personal arrangement. The bride chose her brother Austin Swift to stand beside her as Man of Honor, whilst the groom selected his brother Jason Kelce as Best Man.

Both wore custom Christian Dior Haute Couture, with their wedding attire designed by Jonathan Anderson in close collaboration with the couple.

The reception transformed Madison Square Garden's main floor into a fantastical setting described as an Alice in Wonderland-meets-Wizard of Oz spectacle.

Ms Swift's mother Andrea reportedly guided guests from the ceremony to the lavishly decorated reception area.

Intimate touches marked the proceedings, with Jason and Kylie Kelce's daughters serving as flower girls. The young nieces scattered petals along the aisle as the bride made her entrance.

Ms Swift walked towards her groom, accompanied by a string arrangement of one of her own songs, according to reports from TMZ.

The bride completed her Dior gown with Cartier jewellery and bespoke Christian Louboutin shoes. The wedding dress marked designer Jonathan Anderson's first couture bridal creation for a globally renowned celebrity.

Celebrity guests began arriving at the venue from around 3:30pm on Friday, with Bradley Cooper, Gigi Hadid and Jennifer Lopez among those spotted entering ahead of the cocktail hour.

Actors Hugh Grant, Ethan Hawke and Jason Sudeikis were also photographed in black-tie attire, alongside singer Benson Boone and football legend Abby Wambach.

City permits suggested the celebrations may have continued into the early hours, though several high-profile attendees departed before 11pm, including Tom Brady, Hugh Grant and Chris Rock.

Rapper Nelly declared the event "incredible" on his Instagram stories, whilst Ohio state representative Steven J Demetriou described the nuptials as "epic, great and life changing" upon returning to his hotel.

The groom's father Ed Kelce arrived back at the Ritz Carlton shortly after 12:30am, calling his son's wedding "great."
