Bank branch closures are continuing this year with NatWest preparing to shut down dozens of sites
NatWest Group is set to shut down more than 30 locations in 2024 as the recent wave of bank branch closures continue.
The banking group announced plans to scrap 32 physical NatWest, Ulster Bank and Royal Bank of Scotland locations last year.
GB News has previously reported on the decisions by banking groups, including Lloyds, to close down dozens of branches across the country.
Customers of NatWest will not be immune from this trend as banks opt to offer more online services at the expense of in-person sites.
Here is a breakdown of the NatWest, Ulster Bank and Royal Bank of Scotland branches which are set to shut down in 2024:

The banking group said it is prioritising improving its online banking services going forward, to meet customers where they are.
A NatWest spokesperson said: “As with many industries, most of our customers are shifting to mobile and online banking, because it’s faster and easier for people to manage their financial lives.
“We understand and recognise that digital solutions aren’t right for everyone or every situation, and that when we close branches we have to make sure that no one is left behind.
“We take our responsibility seriously to support the people who face challenges in moving online, so we are investing to provide them with support and alternatives that work for them.”
Among the other banks and building societies to shut down locations recently include HSBC and Barclays.
The latter was found to have the most branch closures in 2022, followed by Danske Bank, HSBC and Lloyds, according to Which?.
To assist those struggling to access to cash banking services, NatWest has launched Community Pop-ups with advisors offering support to those impacted by closures.
Anyone interested in accessing this service can see if a Community Pop-up has opened up in their area by visiting the NatWest website.
