A British woman was stabbed to death at a German train station this morning.
The 31-year-old woman was attacked at the station in Rosenheim, Bavaria.
She was taken to hospital, where she died from her injuries.
Police made the arrest immediately after the alleged incident occurred.
It remains unclear if the British victim lived in Germany or was visiting as a tourist.
The region is currently celebrating the Rosenheim Autumn Festival, a massive, historic Bavarian folk festival and funfair.
It has previously been referred to as a smaller, more authentic version of Munich's Oktoberfest.
Many visitors are attracted to the city's colourful, pastel-toned architecture and vibrant alpine surroundings.
Located at the Alpine foothills of Upper Bavaria, it lies roughly 52 kilometres (32 miles) south-east of Munich.
The European city also serves as a central hub for commuters, university students, and tourists travelling between Germany and Austria.
