The man had previously admitted guilt for various sexual offences against his wife
A husband has pleaded guilty to drugging and raping his wife for more than two decades without her knowledge.
The man, who cannot be named to protect his wife's identity, admitted to the offences at Manchester Minshull Street Crown Court today.
Earlier this year, the man pleaded guilty to a number of sexual offences against his wife, dating between 2022 and 2025, including rape and sexual assault.
The husband, in his 60s from Stockport in Manchester, today admitted to a further string of offences, dating back to 2004, including administering a substance with intent to stupefy or overpower.
Wearing a dark grey suit, the man at one point broke down in tears as he entered his pleas from the dock in the Manchester court.
The victim sat in the front row of the public gallery during the hearing, surrounded by family members.
