Fire crews have rushed to the scene just south of the annual parade route
A van has caught fire in Notting Hill as fire crews rushed to the scene.
The London Fire Brigade has confirmed four fire engines and around 25 firefighters are responding to a fire on Pembridge Villas.
The incident is taking place just south of the parade route for the annual Family Day celebrations at the Notting Hill Carnival.
Fire crews have urged members of the public to stay away from the scene while they deal with the blaze.
The Metropolitan Police has confirmed the blaze started with a barbecue fire.
A spokesman said: "The fire did not involve a police van and no apartments were on fire.
"It was a BBQ that caught fire and spread to a van next to it. There is no suspicion it was intentional."
