The man pleaded guilty to two counts of assault back in July
A 39-year-old man has been jailed after scarring his girlfriend with a set of barbecue tongs in a violent assault.
Jack Shepherd, known as the speedboat killer, was jailed for one year and eight months with another four years on extended licence at Isleworth Crown Court this morning.
In July, Shepherd pleaded guilty to two counts of assault occasioning actual bodily harm and another charge of damaging property.
The attacks, which took place in February and June last year, triggered Shepherd's recall to prison.
The criminal was first jailed for six years after being convicted of manslaugheter in 2018 when Charlotte Brown, 24, died in a speedboat crash on the River Thames during their first date.
Shepherd fled to Georgia and remained on-the-run until he was extradited back to the UK to serve his sentence.
Upon his return, he was also jailed for four years after launching an attack on a barman with a vodka vottle in 2018.
In his latest conviction, Shepherd pinned down and punched his girlfriend during a fight in February 2025.
Four months later, he stabbed her with sharp barbecue tongs after she said he burned the pizza.
The victim was in her 50s and had recently started dating Shepherd.
Following the pizza remark, the court heard he "proceeded to hit her with the barbecue tongs on her left breast, which caused a permanent scar".
Referring to the victim as "AB", Judge Martin Edmunds KC told Shepherd: "AB reported that initially the relationship went well but within a few short months you became jealous and violent, both to AB in person and to property as a means of intimidating her.

"Whatever the difficulties in your relationship, the three counts are snapshots of inexcusable violence.
"Two of the offences were clearly committed when you were drunk, just as you had been when you committed that manslaughter in 2015 or when you hit that bar worker with a bottle in 2018."
The lawyer added the victim described Shepherd as "wanting to hit someone to show off his power".
He added: "AB’s assessment was that when you get drunk, you want to hit someone to show off your power. There is likewise a pattern of you trying to apologise afterwards and blaming drink.
"AB’s victim personal statement describes the pain and injuries inflicted, with permanent scarring, and also explains the effects of stress and anxiety on her, her loss of self-confidence, friendships and feelings of safety. These have been aggravated by your notoriety.
"The offences are each aggravated by your previous convictions which I judge to be highly relevant…
"You have accepted responsibility and remorse but I place no faith or value in your expression of remorse.
"Your pattern is to commit offences and afterwards apologise and produce excuses. Your prepared statement sought to shift blame anywhere but yourself."
The speedboat killer has now been jailed for 20 months for the tong attack, as well as another nine for the other assault, alongside three months for the criminal damage.
