The vehicle had been fleeing from an alleged ATM ram-raid in Germany, police told local media.
The crash occurred on Nierkerkestraat in Osdorp this afternoon after police chased the BMW through the city.
Multiple police units, the military, and other emergency services were present at the site.
The street has been cordoned off.
Homes within a 100-meter radius have been evacuated due to possible explosives being found in the car.
A manhunt has been launched to locate the vehicle's driver, who fled after the crash.
It is unclear how many people were in the car.

Police followed the BMW M1 after it was spotted in the city of Fürth, in the German state of Bavaria, shortly after a ram-raid last night.
According to the German police, nothing was taken during the ATM explosion.
However, the building housing the ATM was severely damaged, and a fire broke out.
No residents were injured in the raid.
