Joe Biden has issued a fresh update over his "debilitating" prostate cancer more than 15 months after revealing his diagnosis.
The ex-President, 83, declared on Tuesday that his radiation treatment for prostate cancer "worked as intended."
In a statement to coincide with Prostate Cancer Awareness Month, Mr Biden said he was "deeply grateful to the doctors, nurses and other medical professionals who helped to control my cancer and who continue to take such good care of me".
"Their skill, dedication, and compassion mean so much," he added.
"The radiation treatment from last fall worked as intended, and I continue to do the things I care about, like finishing my memoir."
The former President is working on his book, Promise Me, America, due to be released after November's midterm elections.
Tuesday's update marked Mr Biden's first public comment on his health since his son Hunter spoke to the BBC last month.
Hunter revealed the cancer had "metastasized into his bones and further" and described it as "very painful" and "very debilitating in many respects."

He said he wished his father "would complain more, because it's not good."
Jill Biden addressed her husband's prognosis in a June interview with NBC.
"I think if he had just been diagnosed with prostate cancer, that's one thing because that can be cured, but the fact that it metastasized to his bones, that makes it a whole different story," she said.
"So I think Joe will live with cancer till the rest of his life."

Earlier in 2026, former White House officials who served under Biden raised concerns about his condition.
Those ex-officials and a Democratic elected representative told The Washington Post in February that Biden at times seemed more fatigued during private encounters since making his health issues public.
