Conservative Party Chairman Kevin Hollinrake has backed called for England captain Harry Kane to be knighted following the team's World Cup victory over Mexico.
Speaking to GB News, Mr Hollinrake said: "I don't know why he isn't already, he's fantastic, and what an ambassador for Britain, for the country he is. Just an amazing person.
"And I saw his interview this morning, he could hardly speak, could he? He was squeaking more than speaking, but it was just amazing.
"Every single player in that team, they made us so proud. It was fantastic to watch."
