The Duchess of Sussex’s routine contrasts with her previous description of hectic school runs
As Ever, the brand founded by Meghan Markle, has unveiled information about the Duchess of Sussex's daily routine.
The company's social media posted an image of a herbal tea tin alongside a glass bottle of tea leaves on a lawn, next to a rolled-up cork exercise mat.
The caption read: "Meghan starts her day with a bag of Peppermint Tea in her water before yoga.
"Refreshing, simple, and an easy way to ease into the morning."
The update contrasted with previous statements by Meghan regarding her morning routine.
During an appearance on The Jamie Kern Lima Show podcast in 2025, Meghan spoke about her daily schedule, her children Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, and the involvement of childcare staff with the family's morning commute.
On that podcast, the Duchess of Sussex stated that her routine generally starts around 6:30am and described the process of preparing her children for the day ahead.
"I get them dressed, get them downstairs, make breakfast… and then if I haven't done their lunch boxes the night before, then I do that," Meghan said.
"I love doing lunch boxes; it makes me very happy, and writing a little note in their lunch boxes."
She went on to explain that her daily commitments dictate whether she handles the school drop-off personally or relies on assistance.
"They're at two different schools - that's a big circuit," Meghan said during the podcast. "So from 6:30 in the morning, on drop-off mornings for me, I'm not home till 9."
She added that on mornings when she has work commitments or early meetings, the family's nanny takes over the driving duties.
LATEST ROYAL DEVELOPMENTS
She noted that their nanny, who "has been with her for five years," handles the drop-offs on those specific days.
Meghan also previously discussed the structural setup of her family's mornings in a 2022 episode of her Spotify podcast Archetypes, where she recounted the routine to guest Pamela Adlon.
In that conversation, she referred to the start of her day as a "whirlwind" involving monitor checks, feeding the children, and organising the family's pets.
"For me, it's both monitors on, for the kids to hear them, always up with Lili, get her downstairs, then a half hour later Archie's up," the duchess said on Archetypes at the time.
"I start doing his lunch box right before he's up, while I have her, getting her a little nibble, my husband's helping me get him downstairs."
She added: "And I make breakfast for all three of them. It's very important to me; I love doing it. To me, it feels like the greatest way to start the morning. And then it's like feed all three of the dogs... and then get Archie out of the door to school."
