The Duke of Sussex expressed a strong personal bond with those involved in the charity
Scotty's Little Soldiers, the charity dedicated to supporting children who have lost a parent serving in the British Armed Forces, has released a new video featuring Prince Harry.
The clip was captured during the Duke of Sussex’s attendance at the Scotty's Summer Festival 2026 in July, which formed part of a five-day visit to the UK.
In the footage, Harry discusses the deep personal significance the organisation holds for him.
The Duke has been involved with Scotty's for many years and took on the role of patron, later styled as Global Ambassador, in 2023.
Speaking in the video, Harry expressed a strong personal bond with those involved in the charity.
"I can really relate to this community, and I love supporting all these kids," he said.
The Duke added: "I get a fix out of this as well. I have so much fun with this community, so much fun with these kids and these mums and these, and these parents and grandparents."
"I wouldn't have it any other way. I'm absolutely honoured to be a global ambassador for Scotty's," he stated.
Even from his home in the United States, the Duke maintains regular contact with Scotty's Little Soldiers, frequently sending video messages and letters to mark significant occasions.
Following his appearance at last summer's festival, Harry issued a formal statement underscoring his dedication to the cause.
"I'm so proud to be Scotty's Global Ambassador and I care deeply about the charity's incredible work in supporting bereaved military children, young people and their families," he said.
He also noted: "It's an honour to meet some of the charity's members today, many of them familiar faces as I've met them at previous Scotty events.
“It's clear just how much being part of the Scotty's community means to them."
