Broadcaster Richard Osman revealed his surprise plans for Harry after he returns to the UK
Prince Harry has been tipped for a successful media career upon his return to the UK this week, following a "very good" podcast performance.
It has been six years since the revered "Megxit", when Harry and his wife Meghan Markle quit royal duties and upped sticks to Montecito, California in the process. At the time, it was dubbed their "freedom flight".
For Harry, though, he couldn't quite find a place to fit in. Royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams told GB News last week that the duke has been without a "proper job" in the US, adding that he has "no future" there.
Thankfully for the prince, broadcaster and writer Richard Osman is backing his corner on his homecoming.
The former Pointless co-host was left impressed by Harry's appearance on Joe Marler's podcast last month - and feels the duke has potential for a career within the media industry.
"I saw him on the Joe Marler podcast," Mr Osman revealed on The Rest is Entertainment podcast, which he hosts alongside journalist Marina Hyde.
"He's very good on things like that. I think you could build a fairly nice media career for Harry where he just appears on television every now and again.
"If I was his adviser, and I can exclusively reveal that I'm not, I'd have him meeting people."

Harry's appearance on the Joe Marler Will See You Now podcast included some notably comedic moments where the duke understandably looked at ease on camera - particularly discussing his grooming habits.
He described his daily regimen as "s***, shave, shower," joking these activities would not occur simultaneously, before revealing he trims his beard every five or six days to maintain tidiness, adding: "Nothing really happening on top, I get a haircut, otherwise I try not to look at what's happening."
Mr Osman continued with a suggestion to introduce Harry back onto British terrestrial television: BBC's The Wheel. Currently presented by Michael McIntyre, the former House of Games host feels the comedian will help Harry feel at home.
He explained: "I'd put him on The Wheel tomorrow, with Michael McIntyre. He'd be great on The Wheel. Michael would look after him, he'd look good if he got something right, he'd look self-deprecating if he got something wrong.
Mr Osman added: "I wouldn't put him on The Traitors or I'm A Celebrity or something like that."
The broadcaster then went even further: designing Harry's own TV show.
"I've got a show called Harry's Special Forces," he explained. "It's like DIY SOS meets Challenge Anneka. It is exactly that thing of a house needs rebuilding, a community centre needs rebuilding.
"But he does it with a bunch of army veterans, people who have been injured in the line of conflict. And they build something and put something together.
"At the same time he's showing these veterans, they're putting their skills out there for employers, it's feel-good."
While Harry is being touted for his own Saturday night game shows, Meghan is reportedly in talks with a return to the small screen.
Following her exit from hit TV show Suits, Meghan declared to Variety: "I’m done. I guess never say never, but my intention is to absolutely not."
However, recent reports suggest she could be in line for a role in Guy Ritchie's Netflix series The Gentlemen, which is currently undergoing casting.
Whether she will return to Netflix - after severing ties with the streaming giant after filming two series of With Love, Meghan - and make an acting comeback is yet to be seen.
