Scotland's World Cup hopes now dangle by a thread after being hammered 3-0 by five-time champions Brazil.
Vinicius Junior pounced on a mistake by returning Scots defender Scott McKenna to give the Selecao the lead in the seventh minute, and then had the ball in the net in the 20th minute - but was adjudged to have fouled Jack Hendry.
The Real Madrid star went on to nab his second right at the end of the first half after more poor defending, and striker Matheus Cunha grabbed a third just after the hour mark.
Steve Clarke’s side, who were guaranteed a third-place finish in Group C after a 1-0 win against Haiti and a 1-0 defeat by Morocco, have a goal difference of -3 - and now face a wait until the early hours of Sunday morning to learn their fate.
They now must finish the group stages as one of the eight best third-placed teams with several different permutations possible.
Group C bedfellows Morocco secured their place in the knockouts after an exhilarating 4-2 win over Haiti.
While in Group A, South Africa secured their place in the next round after upsetting South Korea 1-0.
Already-qualfied Mexico, meanwhile, thumped the Czech Republic 3-0 - leaving the European side bottom of the group with just one point.
FULL-TIME: South Africa 1-0 South Korea
South Africa have stunned South Korea, and they're through to the knockouts!
The Asian side now face a days-long wait to discover their fate, but three points should be enough to see them through. As it stands, they'll be facing Egypt for a chance to play the winners of USA vs Bosnia-Herzegovina.
FULL-TIME: Czech Republic 0-3 Mexico
It's 3-0 Mexico at full-time. The hosts are perfect group winners, and the Czechs are down and out. As it stands, they'll play Scotland - but that will doubtless grow less and less likely as the group stages wrap up.
GOAL! Czech Republic 0-3 Mexico
It's a third for the hosts thanks to Alvaro Fidalgoo. As it stands, they're going through with a perfect record, scoring six goals and keeping three clean sheets. Are they the side to beat, or is it home advantage?
GOAL! South Africa 1-0 South Korea
The goals are flying in now. South Africa have a vital 1-0 lead through the winger Thapelo Maseko. As it stands, they're going through!
GOAL! Czech Republic 0-2 Mexico
And just like that, Mexico have two. Julian Quinones, who scored the first goal of the tournament, now has a delightful second. 2-0!
GOAL! Czech Republic 0-1 Mexico
The hosts lead at the Azteca after the break! It's Mateo Chavez with the goal. As it stands, Mexico are finishing on nine points, and the Czechs just one.
Back underway in Group A
And we're back for the second halves of Czech Republic vs Mexico and South Africa vs South Korea.
Two big halves coming up - and we'll bring you all the latest updates as they come in.
HALF-TIME: Czech Republic 0-0 Mexico, South Africa 0-0 South Korea
Goalless in a combined 90 minutes of football so far... As it stands, South Korea are going through alongside Mexico - while the Czechs will surely be out.
KICK-OFF: Czech Republic vs Mexico, South Africa vs South Korea
And now to Group A, where hosts Mexico have already qualified for the knockouts - but South Korea, the Czech Republic and South Africa are still battling to learn their fate.
The line-ups for tonight's double clashes are as follows:
Czech Republic: Kovar; Krejci (C), Hranac, Holes; Doudera, Sadilek, Cerv, Coufal; Visinsky, Sulc, Hlozek.
Mexico: Rangel; Chavez, Reyes, Montes, Sanchez; Romo, Alvarez (C), Mora; Quinones, Martinez, Alvarado.
Then...
South Africa: Williams (C); Modiba, Mbokazi, Okon, Mudau; Sithole, Mbatha, Mofokeng; Appollis, Makgopa, Maseko.
South Korea: Seung-gyu; Lee, Min-jae (C), Lee; Lee, In-beom, Paik, Seol; Hee-chan, Oh, Lee.
Both deciders are underway as we speak!
What's next?
By finishing top of Group C, Brazil will take on the runners-up from Group F in the Round of 32.
The match is scheduled for Monday in Houston, kicking off at 6pm UK time.
At present, Japan occupy second place in Group F, although Sweden and the Netherlands are also still in contention to finish as runners-up.
Morocco, meanwhile, will face the winners of Group F. The Netherlands currently lead the group, but Japan and Sweden both remain in the race to finish top and claim first place ahead of the Dutch.
Scotland fans will be watching Algeria vs Austria keenly (if they are still awake) at 3:00am on Sunday, the result of that will be crucial to their qualification hopes.

It's all over, a poor night for the Scots after a mauling - largely down to their own errors.
They showed heart in the second half and tested Alisson a couple of times but nothing too dangerous.
It makes for a nervy few days, now, as they await the rest of the results to see if they qualify as one of the better third-placed teams in the tournament but after their goal difference took a battering, it might be curtains for the Scots.
According to Opta, they currently have a 42 per cent chance of going through - not terrible odds, mind.
Morocco also went on to score another and win 4-2, seeing them finish runners-up in the group as Brazil took top spot.
Neymar is on - Morocco take lead

Neymar, a controversial pick for the World Cup, is on the pitch to make his first appearance at the World Cup this year.
The Brazilian fans are going wild as Neymar makes his 129th cap for the Selecao.
Some story for the 34-year-old!
Meanwhile, Hakimi has put Morocco ahead but with Brazil cruising, they will have to settle for a runners-up spot in the group.
GOAL! Brazil dominating
Brazil have been knocking at the door throughout the second half and they finally get their reward through Matheus Cunha.
Bruno Guimaraes dances his way to goal before leaving it on a plate for Cunha.
It is 3-0 now to Brazil and Scotland are in deep, deep trouble. They are now in serious peril of crashing out of the tournament completely as their goal differences continues to take a battering.
Morocco goal!
What an incredible half in Atlanta despite the fact Haiti are out! Morocco have drawn level to make it 2-2 in the first half.
Ismael Saibari has his third goal of the tournament after running into the box and sweeping the ball into the net.
That goal makes a slice of history for himself, becoming the first African player to score in all three group stage games
GOAL! That man again!
Vinicius Jr had a goal ruled out earlier - this one won't be!
A magnificent cross finds the Brazilian winger at the back post but it is calamitous defending from Scotland, who have several opportunities to clear their lines but fail.
A looping ball completely takes out Angus Gunn and Jack Hendry, who has no idea where Vinicius is - and he heads into an empty net.
Brazil threatening to run away with this as the half-time whistle goes, but not before a fine Gunn save from Rayan.
Haiti back in front
Wow that did not last long! Haiti basically go up the other end and take the lead - and in some fashion!
Sunderland star Wilson Isidor finds himself about 20 yards from goal and lets loose a ripping drive that absolutely flies into the top corner.
The Haitian fans are going crazy!
Morocco equalise
It was only a matter of time, Morocco have really ramped it up since going a goal down and have forced some amazing saves from the Haiti goalkeeper.
Not this time, though, as captain Achraf Hakimi grabs the equaliser for the north African country.
He gets himself near enough on the goal-line to prod it over in a real mess of a goal - but Morocco won't care.
GOA... No! Lucky Scotland

Can you believe it?! Scotland mess it up again! This time it is Jack Hendry, who has no idea that Vinicius is behind him.
He takes the ball off him and strokes the ball home - but wait!
VAR intervenes and the goal is ruled out after a foul on Hendry. Extremely fortunate, there was contact but it was pretty minimal.
Scotland HAVE to wake up!
Haiti take the lead vs Morocco!
Haiti might already be out of the World Cup but they are not going quietly, taking a shock lead against Morocco in the other game of this group.
Lenny Joseph nips in to get ahead of an early cross to send the fans barmy in Atlanta.
Brazil will feel fairly confident of topping the group now...
GOAL! Brazil take the lead

HORROR error from Scotland! And Brazil have opened the scoring through Vinicius Jr!
Scott McKenna takes a heavy touch and is pressured by Rayan. The ball falls kindly for Vinicius, whose touch takes Angus Gunn out of the game.
The Real Madrid star then has the simple task to tuck home and put Brazil ahead.
Just eight minutes in and Scotland's defensive errors have come to light again.
Kick off!
National anthems done and the flags are off the pitch. The Scots get us underway at the Hardrock Stadium in Miami - with all of Scotland watching on.
Scotland played Brazil at the 1998 World Cup, losing 2-1 on that occasion in a heroic effort against some of the best players in the world including Roberto Carlos, Ronaldo, Rivaldo and Cafu.
If the Scottish can go one better, this team will solidify themselves as national heroes.
Here are those teams again:
Scotland XI: Gunn, Patterson, Hendry, McKenna, Robertson, Gannon-Doak, McLean, Ferguson, McGinn, McTominay, Shankland.
Brazil XI: Alisson, Danilo, Marquinhos, Gabriel, Santos, Casemiro, Guimaraes, Rayan, Paqueta, Vinicius Jnr, Cunha.
What do Scotland need?

Scotland's World Cup destiny is in their own hands tonight as Steve Clarke's side face Brazil in a blockbuster Group C showdown.
Victory in Miami would guarantee a place in the knockout stage and could even see Scotland top the group if Morocco fail to beat Haiti.
A draw would leave the Scots on four points and in a strong position to progress as one of the tournament's best third-placed teams, although qualification would not be immediate.
Defeat would bring an anxious wait, with goal difference potentially crucial. History is within touching distance for Scotland under the Florida lights.
Group B wrapped up
Switzerland 2-1 Canada
Bosnia-Herzegovina 3-1 Qatar
Qatar are out of the World Cup and Bosnia could join them, though their four points is more than likely enough to see them qualify as one of the best eight teams in third spot.
As for Switzerland and Canada, both countries were basically qualified anyway due to their goal differences.
However, Canada's loss means their round-of-32 match will now be played in Los Angeles and not in front of a home crowd in Toronto.

Ally McCoist: Drawing Brazil is the 'pinnacle' for Scotland
Speaking to talkSPORT Bet, McCoist said: “I know Argentina won the last one with Lionel Messi, but generally speaking, Brazil and World Cup football, that's the pinnacle.
“Whether you go back to Pele or R9 or all these guys. Do you know what I mean? It's just absolutely fantastic. If you're asking me, I'd rather play Brazil.
“I know we played them in '98 and I know we played them in '74. I can still see wee Billy Bremner closing his eyes and wee Billy missing that one that he thought was going in in 1974. I watched it as a nine year old boy.
“So, I think getting to play Brazil is fantastic. I can't lie to you."
Scotland are going for it! Official line-up announced
Steve Clarke has shared his hopes for making it to the knockout stages | REUTERSScotland have named a bold and energetic starting XI for tonight’s World Cup clash with Brazil.
Angus Gunn starts in goal behind a defence of Nathan Patterson, Jack Hendry, Scott McKenna and captain Andy Robertson.
The midfield features Kenny McLean and Lewis Ferguson, with John McGinn and Scott McTominay providing drive and creativity.
Ben Gannon-Doak offers pace and direct running, while Lawrence Shankland leads the line.
Steve Clarke’s side will look to combine defensive organisation with attacking intent as they face one of football’s biggest challenges against a talented Brazil team.
Scotland XI: Gunn, Patterson, Hendry, McKenna, Robertson, Gannon-Doak, McLean, Ferguson, McGinn, McTominay, Shankland.
Brazil XI: Alisson, Danilo, Marquinhos, Gabriel, Santos, Casemiro, Guimaraes, Rayan, Paqueta, Vinicius Jnr, Cunha.
Switzerland lead Canada, Bosnia-Herzegovina lead Qatar
Switzerland came flying out of the second half to score within a minute after a lacklustre first 45 minutes.
Bosnia, meanwhile, raced into a two goal lead before Qatar struck back in an entertaining first half.
With Switzerland and Canada likely to qualify anyway, it has turned into a straight shootout between Bosnia and Qatar for fourth spot.
A win for either side would almost certainly be enough to qualify for the knockout round in third place, where the top eight-ranked sides from all the groups will progress.
Shearer: Scotland need heroes

Alan Shearer
| RESTISFOOTBALLAhead of Scotland's crunch clash against Brazil tonight, England legend Alan Shearer has given his verdict.
Speaking to Betfair, he said: "We saw Cape Verde going against Spain in their first game and frustrate Spain and get the result that they wanted, and Scotland are going to have to do something similar.
"Scotland are going to have to put in a heroic performance to get anything out of that game.
They are huge underdogs, and not many other than the Scotland fans think they can get anything.
"And I guess even the most sensible Scotland fans will realise what a difficult task this is going to be against Brazil.
"But look at what Ghana did to England. That's what Scotland have to do to Brazil. It won't be easy, but it's not impossible."
Group B conclusion on tonight
Group B reaches a dramatic conclusion with all four nations still chasing a place in the World Cup Round of 32.
Canada lead the group on four points after a stunning 6-0 win over Qatar, while Switzerland also sit on four points with a +3 goal difference.
Bosnia and Herzegovina and Qatar each have one point and must win to keep realistic hopes alive.
Canada qualify with a draw or win against Switzerland, while the Swiss need victory to top the group.
Bosnia need a win plus a Canada defeat and a goal-difference swing, while Qatar require a win and heavy Swiss loss to sneak into second place.
Ghanaian witch doctor lifts Harry Kane curse
Harry Kane has admitted that England weren't at their best against Ghana, with the Three Lions missing out on the chance to secure their involvement in the World Cup knockout stages | GETTYGhanaian witch doctor Nana Kwaku Bonsam, also known as The Devil of Wednesday, claims to have removed his hex on Harry Kane following England's goalless World Cup stalemate with Ghana on Tuesday evening. The England captain endured a frustrating night in Boston, blazing over from close range after a header struck the woodwork in the dying minutes.
Bonsam, who styles himself as the world's most powerful spiritualist and previously claimed responsibility for Cristiano Ronaldo's knee injury at the 2014 World Cup, posted a Facebook video appearing to perform a ritual. "I am now going to release Harry Kane so that he can score in the next match for England," he declared.
England duo in injury scare

England face an anxious wait over the fitness of Declan Rice and Reece James before Saturday's World Cup clash with Panama.
Rice departed Boston Stadium visibly limping following Tuesday's goalless stalemate with Ghana, sporting heavy strapping around his left calf.
The Arsenal midfielder will undergo assessment, though sources suggest no significant long-term concern exists.
Tuchel faces a delicate balancing act, with England still requiring a positive outcome against Panama to guarantee first place in Group L.
The head coach may consider resting his vice-captain even if Rice declares himself available, given he was also substituted against Croatia due to hamstring nerve pain.
Kobbie Mainoo and Jordan Henderson remain unused at the tournament and could provide midfield alternatives.
Andy Robertson labels Tartan Army 'the best in the world'
Andy Robertson described the Tartan Army as "the best in the world" with their support.
The Scottish fullback said: "Our fans are the best in the world. Everywhere they go, people fall in love with them.
"I think you've seen how much the whole city of Boston fell in love with the Tartan Army, and I think they're gutted now that they've left.
"Now obviously they come down to Miami and try to make the same impact, and I think they've had that same impact. Obviously, the baseball again last night, walking through the streets and everything."
In case you missed the action in the night
In case you missed the two games during the night, Croatia knocked out Panama to boost hopes of progressing through to the round of 32.
In the Toronto stadium last night, Croatia eliminated Panama in a 1-0 win that saw them go third in the group.
After a quiet first half, Croatia took the lead nine minutes after the break as Josip Stanisic's right-wing cross was met by Budimir at the back post.
Zlatko Dalic's side could have doubled their lead, but Panama fought back, hitting the side netting in what was a golden opportunity from a corner.
Croatia move up to third, one point behind both England and Ghana.
The other game of the night saw Colombia beat DR Congo 1-0 and secure a passage to the round of 32.
In the Guadalajara Stadium last night, Nestor Lorenzo saw his side progress through to the knockout stages.
Despite the impressive performance of DR Congo goalkeeper Lionel Mpasi-Nzau, the deadlock was broken in the 76th minute through a lovely placed goal at the near post by Daniel Muñoz.
Colombia and Luiz Diaz in particular had two chances to seal the game, but just the one goal proved to be enough for the Cafeteros.
Colombia face Portugal in Miami next on June 27, while DR Congo will take on Uzbekistan at the Atlanta Stadium.
Neymar available for Brazil but not certain to play
Carlo Ancelotti sent a shiver down the spines of Scotland supporters, letting the media know that "Neymar is available".
Brazil's star man has not featured in the World Cup so far due to a calf injury, but is likely to get some minutes under his belt tonight.
Ancelotti said: "He worked this week and can be available for the match. We are very happy that he is back because, obviously, with his quality, he can help the team.
"I've really got to know him well. He has worked very seriously, trying to recover as quickly as possible.
"I'm very happy with him. Even if he doesn't play, he brings experience, he brings knowledge of the game, he helps the younger players. He is doing very well."
Why was Jude Bellingham not sent off for covering his mouth?
A photo of England's Jude Bellingham covering his mouth while speaking to Ghana's Jordan Ayew during Tuesday's goalless World Cup match in Boston has sparked debate.
The image drew attention because Fifa recently introduced a rule allowing officials to send off players who cover their mouths during conversations with opponents.
Fifa president Gianni Infantino backed the change after Benfica's Gianluca Prestianni received a six-match Uefa ban for homophobic abuse towards Real Madrid's Vinicius Jr.
The rule has already been applied, with Paraguay's Miguel Almiron becoming the first player dismissed under it.
Read more about why Bellingham avoided dismissal here.
Steve Clarke dreams of progressing to knockout stages

Steve Clarke has shared his hopes for making it to the knockout stages

Scotland manager Steve Clarke shared his hopes for making it to the knockout stages of the World Cup.
He said: "Scottish teams have never managed to get beyond the group stage. So if we could be the first team to do that, then that would obviously be very special.
"I'd love to go back to the Azteca Stadium because I've played there in the Under-19 World Cup way back - many, many years ago when I was a young, fit and healthy footballer.
"I managed to score a goal in the Azteca Stadium. Scotland beat Mexico 1-0, so if it does happen, we'll have a repeat!"
Gary Neville claims England played better in goalless Ghana draw than in 4-2 Croatia thumping
Former England defender Gary Neville said the Three Lions performed better in their goalless draw with Ghana than in their 4-2 victory over Croatia.
Speaking on his Stick to Football podcast, Neville argued that Thomas Tuchel's side looked more controlled and organised despite failing to score.
England dominated possession with 78 per cent of the ball and registered 19 shots, although only three were on target.
Several missed chances ultimately left England frustrated and forced to settle for a 0-0 draw. Neville added that he enjoyed the match and viewed the overall display positively.

Group B kick things off from 8pm, as Switzerland face Canada while Bosnia and Herzegovina play Qatar.
At 11pm, Scotland are in action in Group C against Brazil and Haiti play Morocco.
Into the night at 2am, the conclusion of Group A sees South Africa face South Korea and the Czech Republic in action against Mexico.
Frustration for England as Three Lions draw 0-0 against Ghana

England were held to a 0-0 draw against Ghana in their second World Cup match
| GETTYIt was a frustrating evening for England fans, drawing with Ghana 0-0, in a game Thomas Tuchel described as "difficult".
The England boss said: "If one team tries to play and run against this deep block and you don't find the spaces and it's difficult for you to create chances, it can be difficult to watch.
"We always try to entertain our fans. It was difficult today. I hope they don't lose belief. There's a long way to go."
A win would have sent England through to the knockout stages, but they will now need to find a result against Panama to advance to the last 32.
