You can still score a new pair of Apple AirPods 4 for a deal at EE. The broadband provider has marked down the wireless earbuds to £98 — from £119.

This isn't the lowest ever price we've seen from this model, but Apple's AirPods typically only go on sale a few times per year — Prime Day, Black Friday, and Boxing Day. If you don't want to wait for several months before the next deal rolls around, this may be the ideal time.

The AirPods 4 first launched in 2024 with a refreshed design and new acoustic architecture to deliver a substantial boost to sound quality. They're also getting a free sound boost in Apple's upcoming software update later this year — letting you personalise your audio experience for the first time.

Save £21 on the Apple AirPods 4 from EE

AirPods 4 launched with a design that bolsters comfort and greater stability when exercising. Despite the shorter stem, AirPods 4 still offer beam-forming for hands-free access to calls and commands to AI assistant, Siri. You can also quick-press to control music or calls. A quick shake of the head will dismiss an incoming call, while you can nod to accept — handy if your hands are full.

You can also opt for the model that boasts Active Noise-Cancellation (ANC) for £144. This eliminates unwanted background sound, so you're able to enjoy your favourite playlist, podcast, or audiobook at a lower volume, even in noisy environments.

If you don't want to pay the full lump sum despite the sale price, you can add them to your existing EE bill and pay them back in monthly installments of £8 per month.

However, it should be noted that if you switch providers before the earbuds are fully paid for, then you'll need to pay the full remaining amount to EE.

There are several noteworthy features built into the AirPods 4 to consider.

For instance, Apple added several features that were previously reserved for the pricier Pro-level AirPods. For example, AirPods 4 support Personalised Spatial Audio with dynamic head tracking, so that sounds remain mapped out in three-dimensional space even as you're moving your head.

One of its standout features is that these 'buds will automatically raise or lower the volume depending on your environment. For instance, if you're commuting into a busy train station, the higher noise level will be detected, and the volume will be raised without you having to move a finger.

If you're someone who needs Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) to cut out every distraction, though, you can also opt for the AirPods 4 with ANC on sale for £144, which is a separate model to the regular AirPods 4. This is a specialised technology that uses anti-noise sound waves to block unwanted background noise.

With the AirPods 4, you can also nod your head to accept incoming calls or gently shake your head to dismiss a call. Siri will announce incoming text messages, emails, and other important notifications — allowing you to dictate replies with a simple voice command, without ever needing to take your iPhone out of your pocket.

They last either up to five hours on a single charge or up to 30 hours with the wireless charging case.

To charge them, you can use an Apple Watch charger or Qi2-certified charger. And they charge quickly, too. A 5-minute charge can give you a boost of up to 45 minutes of listening time.

Its charging case is just 50mm wide, which is the smallest in the industry with wireless charging capabilities.
