Plaud One promise to unleash an always-there AI that does a lot of work on your behalf
Imagine having your own personal assistant who captures every word you say, understands exactly what you actually mean, and can get things done — like sending emails, scheduling meetings, or typing up notes — to save you time. That's what the Plaud One, a pair of AirPod-like 'buds with a talkative Artificial Intelligence (AI) assistant poised to take action, promises to do for £229.
Plaud is already the world’s biggest AI note-taking company, so it makes sense that it's decided to branch out into wearable AI.
Plaud One can be worn as a pair of earbuds, letting you speak directly to the AI assistant, issuing orders to draft emails, gather data for an upcoming meeting, or summarise a lengthy PDF. Or the standalone case can be used to record your meetings or calls.
Unlike AirPods and other Bluetooth 'buds, Plaud One earbuds work on their own, without your phone needing to be anywhere nearby. That's thanks to the built-in eSIM with 4G LTE wireless support across more than 80 countries, so you're always connected to the internet. That means you can record telephone calls, virtual meetings, face-to-face chats, and even issue quick voice notes when you're out and away from a Wi-Fi connection.
Everything is uploaded to the cloud for transcription and summary as it happens, even if your phone is offline or out of battery.
This always-on approach means the system builds up a continuous picture of all your conversations, which it then uses to link decisions made in different meetings, prep your follow-up calls or questions, piece together reports, and trigger actions across any tools you've connected.
It's basically giving you a running memory of everything work-related you've discussed. For example, if you finished your last meeting with a client saying that you'll organise a follow-up meeting in the next fortnight, the AI can check your calendar and flag availability without you having to remember anything about the promises made at the end of the last call.
For those with a lot going on, this always-on personal assistant could be a game-changer.
The brain behind all this is something called Plaud Agent, which takes what you've said and turns it into actual work that gets completed from start to finish. It links to the tools you're already using – Gmail, Google Calendar, Notion, and Slack – so you don't have to jump between different apps.
The system relies on pre-built workflows and plugins to handle tasks properly, letting it produce complete emails, documents, and presentations that are ready to share or tweak straight away. This can all happen when you're away from your desk, chatting with the Plaud One earbuds without ever looking at a computer screen.

If you're in sales, you might walk out of a client meeting and find a follow-up email already drafted before you've even started your next call. Consultants could turn an entire day's worth of workshop conversations into a structured report without ever opening their laptop.
For top-level executives, there's the option to set up a weekly briefing that automatically reviews everything discussed in the previous week's conversations. And if you're heading into a meeting, you could simply ask for a quick reminder of where you left things with that particular client last time around. It's all about capturing the work that happens in conversations and turning it into finished outputs without the usual admin.
All of this work for the Plaud Agent is charged in the form of credits, which are included in the monthly Plaud subscription plans in addition to the minutes of transcription. The exact amounts included in each plan are yet to be confirmed.
