This is in addition to 40 channels recently added to your telly

If you watch TV via Roku, you're being treated to five new channels packed with popular British shows, including The Graham Norton Show, Hell's Kitchen, Hotel Inspector, and River Monsters.

These channels arrive as part of Roku's recent expansion of FAST (Free Ad-Supported Streaming TV) channels, which started in October. FAST channels are increasingly popular in the UK, offering a terrestrial-like viewing experience over a decent Wi-Fi or Ethernet connection. But unlike the biggest UK broadcasters, there's no TV licence fee to worry about — everything is funded by advert breaks.

These new additions can be accessed via The Roku Channel or Live TV Zone, which is designed to be a one-stop shop for all livestreamed content on the Roku platform, from the main menu of your telly.

There's no need to create a new account, subscribe, start a free trial, or enter your credit card details — these five new channels available for Roku viewers are 100% free of charge.

How to watch Roku's FAST content

All of Roku's FAST content is available to access via the Roku Channel and the Live TV Zone. If you have a Roku TV or Roku streaming stick, you can follow these steps:

Save £13 on the newest Roku streaming stick plus from Amazon

The 2025 Roku Streaming Stick Plus is a powerful streaming device with a sleek, compact design, voice control, stunning 4K resolution, and vivid HDR colour. Powered directly by your TV, it offers a smooth setup and smart, personalised recommendations across thousands of top streaming services.

Each of these devices plugs into the HDMI port at the back of your telly, bringing boxsets and blockbusters from thousands of streaming services to the big screen. Roku has designed its kit with a slimline design so it won't block neighbouring HDMI ports. Newer TVs can power this device from the HDMI port alone, but if your TV can't, Roku includes a USB cable in the box for the Streaming Stick or Streaming Stick Plus.

According to Roku, the newer designs are 35% smaller than rival offerings, despite shipping with more power underneath the bonnet. This svelte new size should make it easier to pack a Roku device with you when travelling, so you can continue watching your favourite shows on a hotel TV or at a friend's house.

No matter which of these you choose, the newly-launched Roku Streaming Stick or the Streaming Stick Plus boast the following perks:

Roku is constantly updating its interface and bringing in new features, in addition to its latest channel offerings. Most recently, it announced several new updates across its remotes, apps, and on-screen interface.

In a blog post, the company said, "The latest software updates coming to Roku will keep you connected to your favourite entertainment — and make it easier to discover what’s next."

The latest updates range from a new and improved assistant to an app and on-screen design refresh.
