You might notice some changes next time you switch-on Sky TV
If you watch Sky TV, some of the channels in your TV Guide will look a little different this week.
The British broadcaster is shaking up the names of several of its own channels this week — and one will be permanently ditched from its listings altogether. Here's what's expected to change.
Classic film lovers who usually head to SkyDecadesHD on Channel 302 will now find it's been temporarily renamed to SkyDirectorsHD. The channel will be showing movies such as Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, The Phoenician Scheme, Yesterday, Jerry Maguire, and 28 Days Later, to name just a few.
Younger viewers who want to get their fix of cartoons will also see a tweak in the Sky TV Guide, with Nick Jr Peppa becoming Nick Jr. Too, which is located on Channel 612.
Sky Pride HD, which was previously Sky Batman HD — a channel dedicated to films about the DC superhero — will switch to SkyAnimationHD on Channel 303 on June 6, 2026.
The exact position of channels can vary depending on your bundle and location, so things might look slightly different across older Sky+ and Sky Q set-top boxes, compared to Sky Glass and Sky Stream, since both of these run the newer SkyOS platform.
Sky viewers in the capital will need to take note, as London TV is being permanently dropped.
The local news, which was previously available via channel 117, won't be returning to the TV Guide. However, if you're desperate to continue watching this London-centric channel, it's still available via Freeview.
The changes, confirmed via an update in the Sky forums, are rolling out at the moment. These will eventually be seen on all Sky hardware that's still supported, including Sky Q, Sky Stream, Sky Glass Gen 2, Sky Glass Air, the original Sky Glass Air, and the oldest Sky+ HD set-top boxes.
If you're not seeing the latest changes, restarting your Sky set-top box should sort things out.
