Holidaymakers can reach the sunny island in just over three hours

TUI has unveiled brand-new charter flights from London Gatwick to Djerba, a relatively undiscovered island off the Tunisian coast, with holidays starting from just £659 per person.

The twice-weekly service launches for Summer 2027, with flights departing on Mondays and Fridays, getting sunseekers to the island in roughly three hours and 15 minutes.

British holidaymakers looking to plan ahead can book now through tui.co.uk, in TUI stores, or on the TUI app.

Djerba sits just off Tunisia's south-eastern coast and is a great choice for sun-lovers, with summer temperatures hitting around 34°C.

Think long stretches of sandy beach, turquoise waters, palm-fringed resorts and charming whitewashed villages.

Holidaymakers can enjoy sunny days year-round, with spring and autumn averages around 24°C and summer highs climbing to roughly 34°C.

For British holidaymakers hunting for great-value sunshine breaks, Djerba is an affordable alternative to popular European islands, with plenty to do beyond lounging by the pool.

Bookable excursions take visitors into southern Tunisia's desert landscapes, where they can explore cave villages and iconic Star Wars filming locations, starting from £66 per person.
